During apprenticeship week, February 7th-11th, we were delighted to welcome the apprentices working across our Trust into the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust central offices for lunch and an opportunity to share experiences. The apprentices are currently working towards qualifications in HR, finance, business administration, and supporting teaching and learning, and the day proved to be lots of fun and very beneficial to all. As well as apprentices at the start of their career journey, a number of our apprentices have been working within the Trust for a number of years and are taking this opportunity to develop their skills further. Louise Levy, Chief Operating Officer, reported,
“Bishop Wilkinson CET is proud to have 11 first year Apprentices working with us across the Trust in many different roles. They are all committed to their learning on the job, extremely enthusiastic and enjoying the experience of fast-paced working life. Providing essential services and support to over 40 schools is something that the Apprentices are taking in their stride and building excellent working relationships with colleagues across the Trust. What’s really pleasing to see is that whilst learning so much, they are also making friendships and having fun, becoming real assets to the Trust. We’re ensuring that the training and support our Apprentices receive whilst they are with the Trust really gives them the developmental opportunities they need for their chosen careers.”
